Halloween Candy Project

The girls sorted, counted, and graphed all of their Halloween candy this morning!  It was a great math project!  Skittles and Butterfinger were the winners!
I gave them a sheet of cardstock and a ruler.
Have your kids sort and count first.
Have them draw lines according to how many groups of candy they have.
On the the bottom, list the groups of candy.
McKenna used a different color crayon for each group.
Your kids can do a line or bar graph.
Have fun!

  1. I love this idea! Hannah was sorting her yesterday just for fun. I think we'll make a bar graph today. Thanks.

  2. but wait, then how can you sneak candy out of their bags after they go to bed at night if they know exactly how much they have?
